ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 is set to kick start from February 21 in Australia. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule and fixtures for the event.
A total of 10 teams, divided into two groups, will participate in the tournament. In the first match, the hosts and the defending champion Australia Women will take on India Women at the SSCG.
Pakistan Women will launch their ICC T20 World Cup 2020 campaign against West Indies Women on February 26 in Manuka Oval.
The tournament will follow the round-robin rule. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-finals. Both the Semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be played on March 5 at the SCG.
In the first semi-final, team A1 will face B2 while, in the 2nd semi-final, B1 will face A2. The final of the event will be played on March 8 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
