Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf claimed first hat-trick of his T20 career in the Big Bash League (BBL) against Sydney Thunder in the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
The speedster picked up three wickets off three balls in the final over of Sydney Thunder’s innings, making his Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) debut a memorable one for himself.
Haris sent Sydney Thunder’s well-settled batsman Matthew Gilkes back to the pavilion for 42 with a well-directed slow bouncer that was flicked straight into the hands of Sandeep Lamichhane, who ran a few yards to complete a fantastic catch. On the next ball, he removed the captain of Sydney Thunder, Callum Ferguson, with another slower delivery.
On hat-trick ball, Haris Rauf trapped Daniel Sams with a pacy in-swinger. The umpire’s finger went up straight away without any hesitation.
An iconic BBL moment.
