Surrey County Cricket Club have roped-in Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan and Australian opener D’Arcy Short as overseas players for T20 Blast in 2020.
The leggie has represented Pakistan in five Tests, 43 ODIs and 35 T20Is. Shadab Khan has picked 46 wickets in T20Is at an economy of just over seven and an average of 20. In 99 T20s, Shadab has picked up 123 wickets.
Shadab Khan was also a member of the Pakistan team who won ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England. Recently, his team (Northern) won the National T20 Cup in Pakistan.
The young leg-spinner has represented Islamabad United (PSL), Trinbago Knight Riders (CPL), Brisbane Heats (BBL), and Edmonton Royals (GLT20).
This Will be the first experience for Shadab Khan at T20 Blast. Pakistani all-rounder seemed excited after signing the deal with Surrey County Cricket Club. He said,” “I have been waiting for this opportunity to play county cricket for a long time, and T20 cricket at the Kia Oval is a great place to start. I am honored to be following in the footsteps of some great Pakistan cricketers and will do my best to make both my new team and Surrey fans proud.”
The Vitality T20 Blast 2020 will kick start from September 5.
