Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lankan side will play three T20Is against the World No.1 side, Pakistan. Sri Lanka and Pakistan will face off in the first T20I on October 5. The second and third T20Is will be played on October 7 and 9 at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore respectively.
Sri Lanka will be playing without the services of their regular T20I captain Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Niroshan Dickwella and T20 specialist Thisara Perera. They are among those ten players who refused to tour Pakistan over security concerns.
Although Sri Lanka lost the ODI series 2-0, this young side showed great character and fight in both ODIs. Some of their emerging stars like, Shehan Jayasuriya, Dasun Shanaka Wanindu Hasaranga and Lahiru Kumara put up excellent performances in the series.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a large number of Pakistani fans welcomed Sri Lanka cricket team in Lahore for T20I series with high alert security. The players arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport at 9:00 PM. From the Airport, they were taken to the team hotel.
The ongoing Sri Lanka tour will play an anchor role in bringing International Cricket back in Pakistan. As stated by Sri Lankan players and officials, the security so far has been satisfactory. The players have enjoyed their game and tried to give their best on the field.
Fans can hope that the ‘inexperienced but dangerous, Sri Lanka side will give a good fight against Pakistan who is currently ranked No.1 in the shortest format of the game.
Pakistanwill face-off Islanders in the First T20I of the series on Saturday. The match will start at 6:30 PM (PST).
