Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has joined Kent as an overseas player for the next season of Vitality Blast T20, which is scheduled to hold in 2020.

Nabi, the current No.1 all-rounder in T20Is, was the part of Kent CCC in last year’s edition. He scored 147 runs in the competition with a sparkling strike rate of 153.
As quoted by Kent CCC, Mohammad Nabi said,” I enjoyed my first season with Kent and, I am pleased to be coming back for another year of the Vitality Blast. There’s lots of quality in the team, so hopefully, we can do well.”
Kent’s Director of cricket, Paul Downton, said Nabi’s all-round ability made him a match-winner.
He said,” To do well in the Blast, you need several match-winners, and Nabi showed us what he is capable of last year.”
“His ability to bowl at any stage of the innings and to hit the ball out of the park when he bats make him one of the most exciting players in world cricket. He fitted into our environment well, and to have him with us for the entirety of the South Group in 2020 is a boost to the whole squad.”
Next edition Vitality T20 Blast will kick start from September 5, 2020. Mohammad Nabi representing Kent, is the only Afghanistani player in the tournament so far.
