Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans have signed Azhar Mahmood as a fast bowling coach for season 5.
The senior all-rounder was the fast bowling coach of Pakistan Cricket Team during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He, along with the head coach Mickey Arthur was sacked by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after Pakistan’s early exit from the tournament.

Azhar has represented Pakistan in 21 Tests, and 146 ODIs. He has played 230 T20s as well. Multan Sultans management is confident that his inclusion will help their side improve the fast bowling strength.
Azhar Mahmood took his official twitter handle to announce his signing with Multan Sultans. He wrote,“ Absolutely delighted to be joining the Multan Sultans family for the PSL 2020! Looking forward to a fun, exciting, and successful season with the boys. Bring it on, boys.”

The fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to kick start from February 20. The final of the tournament will be played on March 22. For the first time, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to host the whole tournament in Pakistan.
