Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 will be played in February, March 2020. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that more than a hundred foreign players are interested in playing Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced that it would host the entire PSL 5 in Pakistan. Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi have been finalized the venues for the event.

Most of the fans and cricket experts seemed to criticize Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to host an entire season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Pakistan, saying none of the International stars would travel to Pakistan and that will destroy PSL’s brand value.

The PCB stuck with its decision to host the event in Pakistan. The registration of foreign players for PSL 5 was opened a few days ago. According to the reports, more than a hundred foreign players have registered themselves for the draft.

The draft of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 will be held on December 6-7. The management used the street cricket formula of ‘Pugam Pugai’ to finalize the pick order for franchises.

Current HBL PSL champions Quetta Gladiators got the first pick. Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United got the second, third, and fourth pick, respectively. Peshawar Zalmi got the fifth while Karachi Kings got the sixth and final pick.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful that the foreign star players will make them available for the PSL 5 despite the clash of the events schedule busy International season all around.
