Pakistan left-arm fast-bowler Mohammad Amir took his career-best figures of 6-17 in Qualifier 1 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2019-20.

Mohammad Amir’s figures of 6-17 are the second-best in T20s for a Pakistani bowler. He also became the first player to take six wickets in a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match.
The 27-year-old dismissed Liton Das, Afif Hossain, Alok Kapali, Andre Russell, Taijul Islam, and his countryman Shoaib Malik.
Shoaib Malik played a superb innings with the bat; still couldn’t take his team over the line. Malik scored a 50-ball 80 with 10 fours and four sixes.
For his splendid spell of fast bowling, Mohammad Amir won the man of the match award.
Mohammad Amir’s fiery spell meant the Khulna Tigers won the match by 27 runs and qualified for the final of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2019-20, where they will face the winner of the Qualifier 2 (Chattogram Challengers vs Rajshahi Royals) on Friday.
In the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2019-20 so far, Mohammad Amir has picked up 18 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 17.77 and an economy-rate of 6.90 with the best figures of 6-17. Mohammad Amir is currently the joint 3rd highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
