[su_dropcap style=”simple” size=”5″]P[/su_dropcap]akistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been listed as the most expensive among Pakistani players in the player draft for the inaugural season of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) newly introduced format ‘The Hundred’.
ECB has released the list of 239 overseas players for the draft of ‘The Hundred’. 35 Pakistani players have been included in this list. Mohammad Amir is the most expensive among 35 Pakistani players with the reserve price of £100,000.
The ECB said,“ Every Team will select 12 players with a maximum of three overseas picks, who will join the contracted players and local icons.”
The Board further added,“ West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, Australia’s Steve Smith and his countryman Mitchell Starc are among the star overseas players available for selection in The Hundred men’s draft on Sunday, 20 October.”
Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, Kagiso Rabada, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc and David Warner are included in the draft for the highest reserved price category. £125,000 is the highest reserve price for the players.

What is ‘The Hundred’ Tournament?
‘The Hundred’ is the tournament in England and Wales hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The event kick starts in July 2020, which will consist of eight city-based franchises.
According to the details, in this format, each innings will contain 100 balls with a change of end after ten balls. Bowlers will be allowed to deliver five or ten consecutive balls. Each one will have a limit of bowling maximum of 20 deliveries. Every inning will have a power-play of 25 balls.
