Chris Lynn, one of the top batsmen, has warned Australia about the ‘top class’ Pakistan. The swashbuckling batsman said that Australia would have to work hard to take down World No.1 Pakistan in T20I series.
The right-handed was full of praises for Pakistan bowling unit after he faced them in a practice match captaining Cricket Australia XI. Pakistan restricted his men to 134/6 in 20 overs and gunned down the target with six wickets in hand and 13 balls to spare.
Chris Lynn, who was left out of Australia T20I squad for Pakistan and Sri Lanka series, was highly impressed with the way Mohammad Irfan bowled in the practice match.
The Aussie said,” Mohammad Irfan has got that X-factor about him. We have seen for many years now how classy he is. Wahab Riaz takes them across, Amir swings them back in, and Irfan swung a few today. They’re not all predictable with all them being the left arm.”
It would be a tough going for Australia against Pakistan: Chris Lynn
Lynn had all his praises for Pakistan’s quicks as well as spinners. He had high praise for Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim. The destructive middle-order batsman predicted that it would be a tough going for Australian batsmen as compared to the series against Sri Lanka.
According to Pakpassion.net, Chris Lynn quoted,” Pakistan has got a left-arm spinner in Imad Wasim, and Shadab Khan is a genius with the ball as well. Our batters will have a tougher challenge than against Sri Lanka.”
The Aussie was sure that Pakistan would impose a significant threat to the Australia side as compared to Sri Lanka whom the host have beaten 2-0 in the series with one game to go in the series. Chris Lynn said,” Pakistan has brought a stronger side out than the Sri Lankans. They’ve got guys who can bowl 150km/h and batters who are world-class. Stats prove that. They put on a clinical performance today. That’s why they’re one of the top T20 teams in the world.”
Pakistan will take on Australia in Three-match T20I series and Two-match Test series. First of the three T20Is will be played on November 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
