Hasan Ali Set To Miss Australia Tour Following Back Injury

[su_dropcap style=”simple” size=”5″]H[/su_dropcap]asan Ali is set to miss T20I and Test series against Australia in their backyard following back injury. Premium fast-bowler sustained back injury before the home series against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is going to announce T20I and Test Squad for Pakistan tour of Australia, on Monday. Hasan Ali who had back spasm is unlikely to return to the National set up as doctors have advised him to take complete rest for three more weeks.

[su_note]The youngster was anxious to return to competitive cricket. He wanted to play the last couple of matches in National T20 Cup 2019 where he was to represent Central Punjab, but he could not pass fitness test which was held in National Cricket Academy (NCA). He was unable to bowl in the nets as well as failed to lift the weight during his training.[/su_note]

Hasan missed the home series against Sri Lanka following back spasm. He was hopeful of making a comeback to competitive cricket in the ongoing National T20 Cup, but failed to recover, and returned home from Faisalabad. Doctors have asked him to take rest for three more weeks to recover completely from the injury.

Pakistan Tour Of Australia 2019

Pakistan will play Three T20Is and Two Tests against Australia from November 3 to December 3. The squad is likely to be announced on Monday for T20Is and Tests. The team will depart for Australia on October 26.

After Pakistan Cricket Board sacked Sarfraz Ahmed as captain from all three formats. The middle-order batsman will lead the team in Tests while Babar Azam will lead the No.1 T20I team in the shorter form. Australia will be Babar Azam’s first assignment as the national team’s captain.
