International cricket is ‘slowly but surely’ returning to Pakistan. Sri Lanka is currently in Pakistan to play ODI and T20I series. Islanders have completed the ODI series, and now they are in the middle of the T20I series. After Sri Lanka, another neighboring country, Bangladesh, is thinking about touring Pakistan soon. However, BCB is yet to take the final decision on the Pakistan tour.
Bangladesh last toured Pakistan back in 2008. After terrorist attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team back in 2009, Pakistan was unable to host International cricket in their backyard.
In 2015, Zimbabwe broke the ice and toured Pakistan for ODI and T20I series. After that, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and World XI visited Pakistan for short series. But at present, after a decade, Sri Lanka is on Pakistan for a two-week-long tour.
Bangladesh is to play two tests and three T20Is against Pakistan in February 2020. Keeping the improving security situations in Pakistan, BCB has decided to think about playing the series in Pakistan.
