Bangladesh Cricket Team’s head coach Russell Domingo said that he was ready to travel to Pakistan, provided that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) gives a green signal for the tour.
Bangladesh is scheduled to tour Pakistan later this month for a three-match T20I series and two-match Test series. However, the latest statements from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials have put the tour in doubt.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) now has said that they would play the T20I series in Pakistan at present, and will make a decision regarding the two-match Test series later.
Despite all this drama by the BCB, former South Africa coach, Domingo, has said that he was ready to tour Pakistan without any hesitation.
Russell Domingo said,” If we have to, then I am going. I think we can only discuss the matter once the decision is made. We need to talk with the cricket board, and the board will decide what will happen next.”
After successfully hosting Sri Lanka for the two-match Test series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is determined not to host any of the home series at the neutral venues.
Bangladesh firstly asked Pakistan to host the Test series at the neutral venue, but after PCB’s solid reply, the BCB has suggested Pakistan host one Test in Pakistan and one in Dhaka.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rubbished BCB’s idea without taking any time.
The two-match Test series is part of the ICC Test Championship campaign, and if Bangladesh refuses to play Tests in Pakistan without giving an impact reason, they will have to lose the points.
