Bangladesh Cricket Board denies to play Test series in Pakistan, ready to play T20Is

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) taken the final section regarding the Pakistan tour. In a recent board meeting, it has been decided that Bangladesh wouldn’t play Tests. in Pakistan. T20I series was their best offer, said the BCB president Nazmul Hassan.

In the presser, after the meeting, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan said,” The government has told the board it can go ahead with a tour of Pakistan but keep it “short” due to the Iran-US tensions. This essentially means Bangladesh can play a T20I series but not Tests.”

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will now contact the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their opinion.
Nazmul said,” We are clear cut, but let’s see how they react. As far as security is concerned, T20 is a better option. They should be happy that we still want to go to play T20s. We just wanted to reschedule the Tests, not saying we won’t tour.”

The BCB president said,” This is the best thing we can offer to Pakistan. The rising tensions in the Middle East don’t allow us to be there (in Pakistan) for a longer period. The Bangladesh government has given us a go for the short tour, and at the moment, the T20I series is the best option for us.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not reacted to the decision yet, stating that it didn’t get an official reply from the BCB, however. One of the PCB officials made it clear that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wouldn’t settle with any offer that didn’t include the Test series in Pakistan.
