All-Rounder Mohammad Hafeez Slams PCB Over His Exclusion From The National Side

Star Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez along with Shoaib Malik, was left out of the squad for Pakistan Tour of Australia 2019.

Hafeez, who has been out of the national side for quite a while now reacted to his exclusion from the Pakistan team. The 39-years old was not impressed with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) behavior.

The senior all-rounder, as quoted by Geo TV , said,” I have been in an and out of the side throughout my career. It comes as a shock when you are not selected despite performing and being of international standard.”

However, the the senior all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez is optimistic about making another comeback to the national side with some stellar performances in domestic cricket. In his interview, he said, “Challenges are part of life, but I am positive as always. I am never disappointed. I Believe that I can keep on playing white-ball cricket for Pakistan. I will always be available whenever I am considered good enough and recalled to the side.”

Pakistan’s newly-appointed T20I skipper Babar Azam revealed before leaving for Australia that he and head coach Misbah Ul Haq were in favor of the selection of Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez. Still, Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani was more keen on allowing the youngsters.

Babar Azam wrote to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to select the senior duo for the T20I series against Australia. Still, the PCB turned down the captain’s recommendation and decided to keep them out of the squad.

Pakistan Cricket Team is set to take on Australia in Three T20Is and Two Tests in Aussie’s backyard. Men in Green are currently in Sydney. They will play the first tour game on October 31. First of the three T20Is will be played on November 3.
